Phil & Amy's Engagement Shoot

I photographed Amy's work mate Kerri-Lynn Peachey's Wedding last year in Moree. Obviously Kerri-Lynn put in a good word for me & now I'm photographing Phil and Amy's wedding in Moree next month. Phil & Amy are an amazing fun couple. I think Phil would have to be one of the easiest guys to work with ever! Amy is just delightful & I know she will be a super hot bride.
Phil and Amy were good enough to travel to me in Armidale for the shoot & then it started raining. I think we did pretty well considering!

What do you guys think about the new boarders around the photos? I thought it was time to get rid of the plain black boarders...

The most exciting Blog I will write all year.

I've known for a few days now.. and damn have I been excited... but I am pleased to announce that Lauren (the love of my life who I met in Canada) will be joining me for a brief 2 week tour of Australia on the 26th of March this year!
Spread the word.
Apologies to clients: I probably won't be super productive during this time.. but Iuckily for you I plan to get everything done before this time.
Also my apologies go to all my friends at the moment who hear nothing but Lauren Lauren Lauren.
& Welcome to the world of the internet Mum and Murray! I've recently taught mum and my new step dad to use the internet and they tell me that they usually read the blog and mum also tells me the photos that she doesn't like. Gee thanks mum!
So mum also learnt how to email and has even sent Lauren an email. She wanted to end it with "love from your future mum in law", Not cool mum... not cool.
Oh, and Alex's darling Danika was shocked before when I said that Lauren was "delightful in every way". Apparently I usually just say that she's hot or something. I probably shouldn't have admitted to that so publicly but Lauren knows that I just adore her.

On a completely separate note: It will be in your best interest to check out the Blog over the next 2 weeks rather regularly. I can't say too much. But trust me.. it will be worth it!

Yep.. another pic of Lauren & I together.. I know you love it! Once again, pic taken by our good friend Jason in Edmonton who is just brilliant at what he does - www.jleonphotography.com

Engagement Shoot @ Terrigal

Hey Y'All,
As promised, here are pictures of Jacob & Holly's engagement shoot. One of my darling friends Kaitlyn told these guys about me and showed them one of our sample albums and they decided that they would choose us as their wedding photographers for their wedding. Good choice team!
These guys got some photos done at Starshots last week so they were so used to being photographed that It made my job sooooo easy.
They took me out to the wedding venue which is this gorgeous chapel with rainforest views behind them looking through the big glass wall. WOW!
The photos that we took on saturday were taken at something called the Skillion @ Terrigal. It's a rather picturesque place which I will definitely be taking Lauren to!
Apparently Jacob likes the effect where we can focus in on the subject and blur everything out. Yeah, you know what.. So do I! that's why I shoot like that. For the photographers that read this blog, do yourself a favour and buy yourselves an 85mm f1.2 lens so that you can do it too. Spend the extra money on this lens so you can wow your clients. It's worth it.

Luna Park Pix!

Well the first couple to contact me were Sarah and James from Sydney who were very keen to be a part of the luna park shoot. My apologies to all the couples that missed out. We didn't end up spending as long as I imagined at Luna Park as we decided to head over to the Rocks area and Old Sydney Town.
I think Sarah and James would have to be the perfect couple for this shoot as It was a bit crazy and they definitely both had a bit of crazy in them which is just how I like it!
Also, as everyone is asking what the heck was I doing in Sydney-here's a running sheet for you.
Wednesday morning: I drove to tamworth to meet some clients then went on to Muswellbrook where I met up with Kelly Munce who is a photographer from Muswellbrook who is really doing some great work and is branching out into an area which hasn't been done much before... ecpecially around Muswellbrook. Check out her website @ www.kellymuncephotography.com & you'll see what I mean.
I then went to stay in Sydney with my good friend Joe Hardy and his brand new wife Carly. They got married in Bowral last year. I was meant to be a guest but ended up turning into the photographer when the hired pro had to leave! I'm so glad I could do it for them though. Joe said after that event that they owed me a home cooked meal. So on the wednesday night I got my home cooked meal at last! I also got a bed for 3 nights.
Thursday: I went to an Adobe Photoshop Lightroom seminar. Basically it's some new software which is going to speed up my work flow and help me get my clients their images faster. That's a good thing trust me! Thursday night I went out for a nice meal at Doyle's restaurant on circular quay but the awesome view that you can get from there was blocked because a cruise liner was in the way :-( But the company was great-Ryan, Mitch and Matt. Thanks for a fun night out guys.
Friday: Went dream shopping in David Jones and looked at all the furniture there. I have a crazy obsession for looking at nice furtniture. If anyone wants to buy me a new lounge for the studio let me know & I'll tell you all about the $7500 two seater that I saw there.
Friday night: Hah. For a second there I couldnt remember what happened friday night, but dah it was the luna park shoot.
Saturday Morning: Off to Terrigal Beach area for an Engagement Shoot with Jacob and Holly who are getting married later in the year @ Terrigal with me as the photog! Oh how I love beach weddings.
Saturday day: Drove home.
Saturday late arvo: Photographed an engagement session for Phil and Amy who are a gorgeous young couple who are getting married in Moree next month.
Saturday night: Was my good friend Anna's 21st birthday party. We went out to the Red Grapevine for a great meal and good company.

And now i'm back.. & I have so much work to do. Lucky I enjoy my work. Enjoy the pics and there will be shots of the 2 other engagement sessions going up asap!

This is so him... I think I've got about 50 photos with similar expressions :-)

Nicky & Jeremy E-Session

I was really looking forward to photographing Nicky & Jeremy (just ask Lauren-she heard all about it). I knew when I met them last week that they would be an awesome fun couple to photograph.
As always we do our best to make sure these shoots are as much fun as possible..hence why I taught them to Latin dance half way through the shoot then we went and rolled around on the grass in someone else's backyard. :-)
Their wedding is coming up on the 17th of March this year. They will be getting married at their own home which I think is such a great idea if you have a nice backyard like they do...
Would someone please email me and tell me to stop doing so much in black and white or split tones (the sepia/blue looking things) as I seem to be doing an aweful lot of it...
Anyhow.. here's some pics.. enjoy!

Melissa & Bernhard's E- Session

Melissa & Bernhard got married just before I went away to Canada, and these were taken just the day before their wedding, so once again.. time got the better of me and they didnt end up online!
Really fun session.. and I basically just stepped back and watched them do their thing.. I think with a couple like this.. I would only interfere with the natural moments that they were creating if I were to direct them too much.

Mark & Terri E-Session

I had the pleasure of photographing this gorgeous couple just before I went overseas for Canada. They should have gone online a long time ago.. but it's better late than never!
I will be photographing their wedding on the 27th of Jan this year, which is co-incidentally my 22nd birthday! All the guests for this wedding will hopefully come prepared for birthday gifts for me... well it's worth a try!

Diana Cormie

Diana Cormie is a modern singer/songwrite based in Tamworth, NSW. Diana was recently nominated for "Starmaker" & the winner gets a recording deal, a car & lots and lots of exposure so we're hoping that Diana comes through! Diana was such a pleasure to work with... a really good cook...incredibly photogenic...& just such a lovely person to spend the day with! I really hope I get the opportunity to photograph her again.
Diana has a website which is www.diana.net.au & I'd recommend going there, clicking on Audio and previewing some of her music!

Paula & Kesha Engagement Shoot

Paula & Kesha are the most gorgeous couple I think i'll ever have the privilege of photographing. They're getting married this coming saturday at Peterson's Winery & it's sure to be one of the most classically gorgeous weddings in the history of all weddings! I've known Paula ever since I met her in 2003 & thought she was rather cute.. and Kesha since I met him in 2003.. and wished I was as cute as he was... I became such close friends with both of them.. and they've both been there for me when i've really needed them & I will forever love these guys & they will forever have me there for them if they ever need anything. They're a beautiful Christian couple who are just so loving, radiant and joyous and you just can't help but love them as soon as you meet them. If these are anything to go by, they're wedding photos on saturday should be sensational. They had originally planned to get married on the 9th of December, but changed the date after I wasn't able to do photos on that date..I feel rather blessed that they changed it as it's sure to be an amazing day. Make sure you check back next week to check them out!

I've decided not to add any titles or captions to these photos as I think they speak for themselves..

Katie & Andrew Pre-Wedding Shoot

I had the pleasure of hanging out with Katie & Andrew for a few hours this evening when we took some really fun photos up @ the old teachers college which will be the location for their photos for their wedding on the 1st of December this year. I had them doing some weird and wacky poses but they really seemed to get into it! I can't wait to shoot their wedding as they're such a fun couple who just know how to act in front of the camera. How come i'm so lucky and I get to work with cool couples week after week? It just doesn't seem quite right that I should be so lucky! Oh yeah, and tonight I scored a goal @ soccer! Beat that!

Smiles all round!

One of the wacky poses.

What a hot couple!

this shot was a bit daring for me.. not my usual style!

same with this...

don't you love the speckled colours in the background!

uh oh.. that's your head..

Photoshoot with Jenna @ Sunrise

I never imagined I would ever choose to wake up at 5am to photograph someone. Yeah, that's right, it was my recommendation. So the location of choice was Saumarez & they were very nice to let us in so early ecpecially so we could do our shoot! Thanks guys!!!! I did the location shots a few weeks ago for Kristie & Ben's Wedding at Saumarez & I fell in love with the location hence why it was the location of choice. I think it was well worth getting up so early to shoot as the light we were able to get was just insanely good! Jenna was a really good sport getting up so early & somehow managed to look wide awake and energetic! I can't wait to photograph her again because we had so much fun doing the shoot & reminded me of why I have the best job in the world. Oh yeah, and boys, she's taken!
Enjoy the pics!
